We have a strong and enthusiastic following of young riders out hunting and we do encourage young members to come out as often as they can. We also hold several Children’s Meets each season when children are given priority. Except at Children’s Meets, for safety reasons and to ensure the enjoyment of all who hunt, we ask that all juniors under the age of 17 are accompanied by a responsible adult subscriber on normal hunting days.
We also encourage all junior riders to be a member of the Pony Club, where they will learn about correct manners and protocol in the hunting field which will enhance their enjoyment of the day.
The Crawley and Horsham Hunt branch of the Pony Club was founded in 1932 and has over 170 members ranging from 3-24years old. We are in Pony Club Area 11 . Our members are very active in all spheres of the equestrian world and many members are keen supporters of the local Crawley & Horsham Hunt. We pride ourselves on our strong COMPETITIVE SIDE while still keeping the balance with FUN and EDUCATION for all members.
