AGLANDS FARM, PICTS LANE, COWFOLD
For anybody due to be coming to the West Grinstead Ploughing Match & Agricultural Show at Aglands Farm, Picts Lane, Cowfold this Saturday 17th September, please that note due to ongoing traffic works on the A281 and at the end of Picts Lane, it has been decided to direct Showground traffic via Picts Lane coming off the A272 and not off the A281 as advertised. This is the junction off the A272 approx. 1.25miles East of Cowfold and will be signposted.
Our Hounds will be parading in the afternoon and there will be many other events including Terrier & Ferret Racing; Clay Pigeon Shoot; Utility Gundog Society scurry open to all and demonstration. In addition to 12 different Ploughing Classes and Steam Ploughing Display, there are also Hedge Laying, Hedge Cutting & Welding competitions plus Field & Domestic Produce Classes including many Children’s Sections. The Livestock Show will include a range of Cattle & Sheep Classes plus popular Lamb & Calf Handling Classes. There are numerous other Side Shows including Tug-of-War; Bale Hefting; Coconut Shy; Sheep Shearing Demonstration, Skittles, Poultry display etc.., with the emphasis on entertainment for the whole family and education in farming and country life, including Tractor & Trailer Rides around the farm plus Harris’ Fun Fair with their classic rides. Also not forgetting lots of food stands and a mini beer festival at the bar!
The Show runs between 9am and 5pm and entry is £5 per adult with under 14 years being free.
